'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract talks could begin in the near future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring record continues to astound
